About The Amana General Store
Our History...
The sandstone and frame building of the Amana General Store was erected in 1858 as a first floor General Store and second floor residence. In 1890 the brick addition was erected. The Amana Society Main Office (Corporate Headquarters) was located in the frame portion of the building from 1932 to 1973. It remains a prominent historic landmark in the village of Amana.
Today you will also find two additional businesses located within The Amana General Store.
In the lower level is the Amana Coffee & Tea:
Amana Coffee & Tea Co. offers an exclusive line of flavored coffees using only the finest and freshest ingredients. Starting with the best coffees, our roasters blend the recipes of spicy cinnamon, zesty oranges, smooth vanilla, rich chocolate, and other enticing flavors which result in a bountiful selection for our customers. Snickerdoodle, our best seller, is sure to be one of your favorites with its blend of cinnamon and hazelnut.
